Changes to the Blog

Hi everyone. Man have I been torn with what to do with this blog. My desire has completely changed as far as couponing. Mostly it has been exhausting. Keeping up with two deal blogs, my kids, husband and our new country living house has been  a lot. If you do not have a desire or a passion to blog- it feels almost impossible.

The crazy thing is the blog was starting to really take off and I was making a part time income and I truly believe God wants me on a different path.

So many amazing things have come to me from this blog. I’ve gotten to meet some of you out shopping. I’ve gotten to talk to some of you about meal planning. I got my own column in The Daily News paper and I hope the most important is I have helped people save money.

That is the whole point of the blog.

But as one person I can’t do it all. Darn it.

I have wrestled with that.  I run mybjswholesale.com. The site makes more money and has many more daily visitors. So it seems if I had to pick between the two- it would be that one.

I thought about hiring help. I started making enough money to hire help.  Sometimes when the doors keep closing it’s for a good reason.

Then I felt a nudge in my spirit. Then I lost my desire to coupon for food that wasn’t the best for me. Then I felt the spirit telling me to close a door.

So with our current lifestyle and how we want to grow our own food, raise our own food and start a farm all debt free I decided to start a new venture and blog about just that.

Just typing this up I know I have to close this chapter. It’s taking that leap of faith. I’m right at the edge.  I think for awhile I felt like a failure to give this one up.

I felt that pang of money lingering in my face every so often.

Oh how money can trick you. But i learned so much on this blog that  it’s not a failure. I’m not a failure.

Yet something even more amazing comes when you put faith into practice. I have prayed about this for a couple months now. And every time I know God is asking me to trust him.

I keep thinking about how I am passionate for the new blog topics but you know what scares me?

Money. It is much easier to make money from a coupon blog then a lifestyle blog. And in that honest answer is why I want to keep holding on.

Then in the kitchen the other day while I’m talking to God about this whole blogging thing. Part of me just thinking how much easier it would be to give up and why I work so hard for so little at times.

I heard this- ” What if your blessings are greater then money?”

I stopped and thought for a minute.

Blessings. I could be blessed in ways other then money.

Oh how money gets the best of you. And how thankful I am for a heavenly father who only wants the best for us.

He may know it’s not money that would be the blessing myself or my family needs right now. Maybe down the road who knows.

Trust. We have to trust in him.

I’m doing a great bible study this week at my church and hear this quote from Dr. Tony Evans.

Faith is acting like it is so, even when it is not so, so that it might be so, simply because God said so.”

I hope that you will join me on my new journey. I also hope that you take a leap of faith today.

I will be working and getting ready for the launch of my new website- thefrugalfarmgirl.com

You can keep up with me on facebook and get sneak peeks of it here.

If you want BJ’s Wholesale club deals I am still continuing with that website here.

For local Tops deals I recommend Suzy Saver WNY and WNY Deals and To Dos.

The coupon matchup lists will no longer be on the blog. I will be sharing some online and in store deals that I think are awesome here until my hosting plan is up which is the beginning of next year.

All of the info will be up on the blog until my hosting plan is up. There are still plenty of great money saving articles around here.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being on this journey with me. I learned SO Much and if it wasn’t for you and this blog I wouldn’t be able to start this next chapter over on thefrugalfarmgirl.com
