Some weeks it is very hard to stay motivated to serve your family. Especially serve them healthy meals every day, sometimes ALL Day!
I know there have been days where I just feel so tired or don’t feel like putting the energy into a dish only to have, ZERO thanks yous, that was delicious, or the kids saying “I’m not eating that.”
But as a mother you push through. You have too. Even on those days you may not feel appreciated for the meals you are serving your family you are making small deposits into so many aspects of your family. Remind yourself that YOU ARE SAVING money by planning a menu and serving your family dinner every night. You are serving your best!
And on those days that exhaustion or a busy schedule comes up have a frozen back up plan! I like to have something frozen that will prepare so easily. I keep frozen fish usually for a quick dinner.
This week I grabbed a couple frozen dinners for my “nights off” 🙂
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

I can normally get out of the grocery store for under $110 a week. That is food for 4, including 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We homeschool so I have to have food for 3 meals a day, dog and cat food and weekly cleaners and personal items. I am a vegeterian so I also have extra food to buy for me. I enjoy going to smaller grocery stores and using coupons. Thanks for sharing your deals! BTW…..I love Aldi’s!

Miranda Great Job on feeding your family under $110 a week! Aldi’s is a great place to shop!
Andrea

Now that I’m cooking for two instead of five, I have to reverse the whole planning process. Now the challenge is to find creative ways to use up perishable items before they go bad. If I have to buy something for one recipe, but only need part of it, I have to find other recipes that use that item. Sometimes I end up planning several days of dinners around one unusual ingredient! It’s becoming a fun game. Thanks for sharing your plan and for letting your girls help show what you bought!
Tasia
Oh the cooking for two challenge! When it was just my husband and I, I LOVED the Cooking for two magazines by Taste of Home! I love that you are getting creative with using your leftovers!
Clare Speer
Wow – you are very precise and specific about your list and budget! Great job – and I love the pictures of your adorable girls!
Tasia
Thanks Clare! They LOVE that yogurt! I wish I could get my homemade yogurt to taste like Mueller!
