Another Spring Weekend and I think we may be able to enjoy being outside- Not at the moment it’s DOWN POURING!! What a long winter! Yet, we still have so much to be thankful for. When the days are grey and dreary it’s hard to see that but today I encourage you to look around and pick 5 things you are thankful for. Reflect and hold tight to those. That sunshine is a coming 🙂

FRIDAY 4/10/15
- Care-A-Van Ministries is partnering with FoodLink of Rochester and the Batavia Assembly of God church to host a mobile food pantry. 5 p.m.- 7p.mThe exact food items available are not known, but freshproduce will be available.
The Mobile Food Pantry is available to Genesee County residents only. There is no income verification required, but you must be 18 years old to pick up food from the pantry.
Please provide your own bags/cart/vehicle to transport items to your home.

- The 2015 Concert Series at the Holland Land Office Museum continues Friday, April 10th, with “A Night of Southern Music”. Returning again are Dave Armitage and Dona LaValle, along with newcomer Al Capurso. Tickets are just $8.00 per person and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
SATURDAY 4/11/15
- Iroquois Observations Outdoor Photography Part I. Scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. April 3. Bring your own cameras, and any other associated equipment such as tripods. This opportunity will discuss the basics of capturing good SCENERY/HABITAT photos. Group will also take a photo-hike along the KANYOO TRAIL. Use your own vehicles to get there. Dress weather appropriate for hiking on woodland trails. Meet at the visitor center. Led by Bob Hazn. Free
- FREE Springtime Craft Show! Over 40 crafters with nice things for your lawn and garden, your home, family, friends and for any special occasion. To be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Batavia. Free admission and parking.
- Diabetes Basics Class – Part 2 – 10 a.m. to noon, April 11 at the Alexander United Methodist Church, Rt. 98, Alexander. Offered by Jacquelin Deatcher NP, CDE. This free two hour class will offer a more in-depth look at meal planning, label reading, carb counting and more. Also appropriate for weight loss, cholesterol lowering, or just plain healthy diet.
